Liverpool FC vs Arsenal FC: 5 Players who’ll miss the Clash!

Liverpool takes on Arsenal in a must win game for both sides this Sunday at Anfield. Brendan Rodgers’ side are currently sitting on 10th spot and should start winning matches in order to get something worthwhile this season. It has been a dreadful season for the Merseyside Club and the Welsh Manager is feeling the heat for such a dismal start. However, his Arsenal counterpart will be in a much comfortable position going into this important match. Arsene Wenger managed a handsome win last week and will look to win at Anfield in order to close his gap with top four positions.

But one thing which both teams have in common is the absence of star players due to injury concerns. Arsenal have a relatively longer list of injured players this season with only one center back available for the Gunners. However, Liverpool have problems of their own in terms of injuries.
Here are 5 key players from both sides who will miss the Liverpool-Arsenal Clash.

This time, his social media post has been found offensive by Football Association, as a result of which Mario Balotelli has been handed one match ban. So Super Mario will miss home game against Arsenal, increasing problems for Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool.

Aaron Ramsey:
Arsenal’s star player from last season, Ramsey is another victim of serious injury for the Gunners. After suffering a hamstring injury in last week’s win over Galatasaray in UEFA Champions League, the Welsh Midfielder is sidelined until the end of November. Its’ his 2nd injury concern this season and the Welshman will miss this important match against Liverpool on Sunday.

Glen Johnson:
The English right back has been an important player for Liverpool this season. Glen Johnson, who is serving the last year of his contract at Anfield has shown glimpse of his glorious past this season. But he has been put aside for one month after tearing his groin last week.

Laurent Koscielny:
When Arsenal started this season with only 3 central defenders, questions were raised on Wenger’s transfer policy. And with the passage of time, those concerns seems legitimate now. With just 1 central defensive player fit, the Gunners are in severe injury crisis at the moment. Laurent Koscielny, who’s their talisman defender for some years now, won’t be available for this clash due to injury concerns.

Mesut Ozil:
In a recent interview to Arsenal website, the German Midfielder shows his frustration for being out of football for such a long period. Mesut Ozil suffered a crucial knee ligament injury during the starting period of new season and has been out of game since then. Ozil won’t return to full match fitness till the start of New Year.
