It’s been a difficult few weeks for the Spanish Giants FC Barcelona. After suffering a surprise defeat by the hands of Real Sociedad last week, it was all guns blazing against the current Catalans’ boss Luis Enrique. His decision to keep Messi and Neymar on the bench invited criticism from around the world. It was reported that there is a conflict between Lionel Messi and the Barcelona boss as a result of which one of them has to leave his job. With the passage of time, the rumors became intense, and when Messi followed Chelsea FC and some of its’ players on a social media website, it felt that a move away from Nou Camp is on the cards of Lionel Messi. The Club president was sacked, Puyol left his job, and all this happens within a succession of 2 days.

But after a much needed victory over Atletico Madrid, Lionel Messi himself came out in public to clear his stance on all the saga. Barcelona grabbed a comprehensive victory over the defending La Liga Champions and now things are starting to turn normal for the Spanish Giants. In his press conference, the Argentine Maestro put forward his future plans, and to much of Barcelona fans’ relief, Messi made it clear that he won’t be leaving FC Barcelona in the near future.

In his talk, Messi rubbishes the claims of his conflicts with Luis Enrique and insisted that everything is under control at the Camp Nou. In his interview to the club TV, Messi said,

“It’s not good for people to look for rivalry between me and Luis Enrique because there isn’t any’’

Messi played a vital role in all 3 of Barcelona’s goal last night, scoring 1 and assisting two in the process. So just before the Ballon d’Or ceremony, Messi has said it loud and clear that he won’t be joining either Chelsea or Manchester City in the near future.
