Rugby News: The dynamic Japanese international star Akihito Yamada has been signed by The Western Force. The try-scoring winger has been given a one year contract for 2015 Super Rugby season.
Currently he plays for the Panasonic Wild Knights; leading Japan’s Top League at the moment. Yamada made his first national debut with Brave Blossoms last year, appearing in 10 Tests against Russia, crossing for eight tries in all.
The Western Force coach says Aki is an exciting addition to the team. The player has also expressed a keen desire to make a place in the match squad while playing for international rugby for Japan.
The Preth-based Western Force finished at eighth position in the season last year. On February 15, the Force will kick off their 2015 campaign against the New South Wales Waratahs in Sydney.
