Cricket World Cup 2015 will end the illustrious careers of many greats of the game. On one hand when some newbies are itching to make their mark on the international soil, many legends will call it a day after this Mega Event. Pakistan Cricket has been influenced by aged players of late. So after the end of the World Cup, a transition period is going to start in the Pakistan Cricket Team. First Shahid Afridi announced his retirement from ODIs after the Mega Event. And another player who has followed the footsteps of Afridi and will sideline himself from limited overs’ Cricket is the current Pakistan Captain, Misbah Ul Haq.

The 40 year old has been the talisman in Pakistan Cricket for last 5 years. He took the reign of Green Shirts at that time when a Spot Fixing controversy was at its full swing in 2011. Pakistan Cricket was in serious trouble but then a change in captaincy brought a change in fortunes of Pakistan Cricket. Since then, Misbah Ul Haq has managed to lead Pakistan in a graceful manner. Even though he had to face intense criticism due to his batting style, but that didn’t stop Misbah to showcase his glorious in front of the Cricketing World.

In 153 matches he played, Misbah Ul Haq has scored 4669 runs with an average of 43. With a win percentage of 51.3% in the ODIs, the Mianwali born Player has been one of the successful captains in Pakistan history. His most famous achievement will always be a series win against India in India. Apart from that heroics, he was a key batsman which guided the Green Shirts to the Semis of 2011 World Cup in India.

So when Misbah Ul Haq looks to end his glittering career, a huge gap will be produced in the Pakistan Cricket. And it will be a huge problem for PCB to replace Misbah by an equally quality player after the Cricket World Cup 2015.
